Success
Blue chip to INGO
'Sue' called me because she wanted to work for an international Charity
(NGO) in the field as a development or aid worker. She was working for a
large international bank in London and had 6 years work experience. She had
spent months contacting international development agencies and was not
getting anywhere.
I coached Sue over a few months; exploring her approach at looking for a
change of career, her CV and interview style, etc. We investigated many
options as she thought and discovered what she really wanted. She is now
on her second overseas contract working for an international agency in an emergency setting in southern
Africa.
Development worker between contracts
'Ann' an experienced
development worker called me because she was between contracts, back in
the UK, and looking to progress her career. Our conversations revolved
around skills presentation, motivation and job hunting. Within 4 weeks
she had successfully landed a new job back in Africa.
Overseas to London HQ job
'Tom' contacted after returning home from working
overseas. Unhappy, despondent, unemployed and desperately seeking a job
at a NGO head office in the UK. Over 2 months we worked at a job hunt
strategy, presentation of skills on paper and application forms. A few
months later he contacted me to say had landed his dream job. |
